In Search of...Daniel's 70th Week ONLY-Part 4
Bible verses proving the 70th Week was fulfilled.
Hello everyone. Glad you made it to Part 4. Below are bible verses showing how those six actions in Dan 9:24 were fulfilled.
🎩Hat Tip: To Soul Refuge on YT for having these verses already put together. This made my job a lot easier!
Dan 9:24-27 “Seventy weeks are determined for your people and for your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sins, to make reconciliation for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy.
To finish the transgression -
Isa 53:8 He was taken from prison and from judgment, and who will declare His generation? For He was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgressions of My people He was stricken.
Isa 53:12 Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong, because He poured out His soul unto death, and He was numbered with the transgressors, and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
John 19:28-30 After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!” 29Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth. 30So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!”
To make an end of sins -
John 1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
1 John 3:5 And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin.
1 Corin 15:3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,…
Heb 9:28 '…so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.
To make reconciliation for iniquity -
Rom 5:10,11 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.
2 Corin 5:18,19 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation,19that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
Col 1: 19-21 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, 20and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. 21And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled…'
Eph 2:14-16 For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, 15having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, 16and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.
To bring in everlasting righteousness -
Rom 3:21,22 But now, apart from the law, the righteousness of God has been revealed, as attested by the Law and the Prophets. 22And this righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.
2 Corin 5:21 God made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.
To seal up vision and prophecy -
Luke 24:25-27 Then Jesus said to them, “O foolish ones, how slow are your hearts to believe all that the prophets have spoken! 26Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and then to enter His glory?” 27And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, He explained to them what was written in all the Scriptures about Himself.
Rev 19:10 So I fell at his feet to worship him. But he told me, “Do not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers who rely on the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”
To 'seal up' is to make an end of or to stop. The prophets prophesied of the coming Messiah and when He came and fulfilled all of those prophecies concerning Him, then their prophecies had come to an end. That chapter was sealed up or closed.
To anoint the Most Holy -
There are several opinions on how this was to play out. I'll list some of these and then I'll give my own opinion. I'll keep this brief because this is not the focus of this article.
Some think this happened when Yeshua ascended up to heaven and anointed the Ark in the heavenly temple after He resurrected
Some think this will play out in the future at some point.
Some think this happened at Yeshua's baptism.
Some think it was fulfilled as evidenced by this verse: (Yeshua speaking in the synagogue)
Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is on Me, because He has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor.
Vs 21 and He began by saying, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”
My opinion - since #'s 1-5 were fulfilled on the cross, and it must be fulfilled during that last week, then I believe the 6th entry was fulfilled as well. I believe that while Yeshua was on the cross, bleeding, and when the earthquake happened, that the blood dripped down and literally anointed the Most Holy on the Mercy Seat of the Ark of the Covenant below. If you are not familiar with the findings of the amateur archeologist Ron Wyatt, please see this.

In closing…
The entire basis for a ‘7 year tribulation’ hinged upon that last week, which is seven years. What I, hopefully, showed is that those 7 years was not a tribulation period but instead, the time allotted for Yeshua to complete His mission in Dan 9:24. The only thing I can think of to close that 7 years is the stoning of Stephen and the gospel going to the Gentiles officially.
And the reason for the ‘breaking of the covenant’ halfway through is from Dan 9:27 where it says ‘he will put an end to sacrifice and offering.’ This false teaching of not only the antichrist - but him breaking the covenant is the exact opposite of what Yeshua did—-He CONFIRMED the covenant. The sacrificing of animals is from the Old Covenant. Yeshua replaced the Old Covenant with the New Covenant by BEING THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE - rendering the blood of animals null and void.
Sacrificing bulls and goats = Old Covenant
Yeshua’s sacrifice (the Lamb of God) = New Covenant
In other words…
“he will confirm a covenant with many” = the New Covenant
“he will put an end to sacrifice and offering” = he will abolish the Old Covenant
Can you see that His death on the cross automatically cancels out the old sacrificial system?
I know that everyone already knows this but perhaps you hadn’t thought of it this way.
As far as antichrist and tribulation, there is much to say on that which will be in subsequent articles.
